Winsor & Newton Drying Oils Mediums
A Natural Resin/Oil Emulsion Containing Ammonia Designed For Cleaning Varnished Paintings. It Works By Dissolving Linseed Oil Oxidation And Removing Surface Dirt And Oxidation Products In The Old Varnish.
Please Note, However, That A Picture That Needs To Have Old Varnish Removed Should Be Entrusted To A Competent Picture Restorer. Unvarnished Paintings May Also Be Treated With Artists’ Picture Cleaner. Still, Great Care Is Necessary, And The Process Should Be Stopped Immediately If Any Colour Appears To Be Coming Off The Painting.

- Linseed Oil – Increases Flow, Transparency And Gloss.
- Refined Linseed Oil – Increases Flow, Transparency And Gloss. Slows Drying.
- Safflower Oil – A Slow-Drying Oil That Improves The Flow And Is Well Suited For Pale Colours. Increases Gloss And Transparency, Resists Yellowing.
- Stand Oil – Pale, Thick Oil. Mix With Turpentine Or Mineral Spirits To Improve The Flow Of Oils. Flexible Finish.
